EBAY AUCTION LISTING TIPS
Ebay is a great way to sell items from home.
It can be time consuming though so be prepared for the
commitment.
*Research what types of items are selling.
Search for the item you are hoping to sell then click the box
next to "Completed" on the left column to see the items that
have sold. Boutique and expensive brand names
usually sell the best.
*Baby items traditionally do not sell as well
as other sizes. Consider putting those sizes into a mixed
lot together.
*Be realistic when pricing. Remember
the item isn't worth what it was when it was purchased new.
But be sure to figure in enough to pay for fees and packaging
materials.
*Ebay offers several listing options:
Auction style listings: These can
run 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 days. You set the opening price
and specify your shipping costs. You pay a set fee for
listing. There are additional options such as gallery
photo, templates, etc, which add to the listing costs.
If the item sells you pay a final value fee which is a
percentage of the sale price. If the items does not
sell you can relist it. You will pay additional
fees for relisting, but if the items sells the second time
you are refunded the second listing fee.
